D7 VISA - RETIREMENT SCHEME

Residence permit for RETIRED foreign nationals (household), or holders of OWN INCOME (furniture, real estate, intellectual property or financial applications); Possibility to work as a self-employed or as an employee without requiring any additional authorization; Exemption from taxation for a period of 10 years; Although the focus of Visa D7 is retirees and holders of their own income, current legislation does not preclude the possibility for their holders to work in Portugal as well as to study and undertake; Only a monthly income of more than 600 Euros or R $ 2,580.00 (average) must be proven.

GOLDEN VISA

Entering Portugal with residence visa waiver; Reside and work in Portugal if you wish; Circulate through the Schengen area without a visa; Benefit from family reunion; Request the acquisition of Portuguese nationality after 5 years of maintenance of the investment made. OBLIGATIONS: Acquisition of immovable property with a value equal to or greater than 500,000 thousand; Acquisition of real estate + renovation worth 350,000 on property with more than 30 years of construction in designated urban renewal areas (purchase price + reform excluding VAT of the retirement contract); Acquisition of immovable property worth 280,000 if located in a sparsely populated area.

UNHABITUAL RESIDENT

If you are a foreign citizen and choose to move your tax residence to Portugal you can apply for non-habitual resident status. And with that you will be entitled to tax benefits for ten years. BENEFITS: There is no property tax in Portugal and there is no obligation to declare any assets to the Portuguese tax authorities (income only); Inheritances and donations between ascendants and descendants (eg, father to son, grandfather to grandson, or son to mother) and husband and wife are exempt from tax; Other inheritances and donations (such as uncle to a nephew or unrelated persons) are taxed at a flat rate of 10% on assets located in Portugal (other assets will not be subject to tax); Portugal is part of the EU and the Schengen area.
